Hi. My name is Shirin Yim Leos, formerly Shirin Yim Bridges, and I am an Ezra Jack Keats Award-winning author of 21 books; an editor, writing coach and retreat leader; a Publishers Weekly “new author to watch”—and several years later, front cover feature; and founding goose of Goosebottom Books. I have taught writing and publishing at the NSW Writers’ Center in Australia, the AFCC in Singapore, the Writing Salons in San Francisco and Berkeley, for writing conferences around the country and around the world, and for eight universities including Stanford. As you will see from these pages, my most recent picture book is EAT YOUR PEAS, JULIUS! Its companions GO TO BED, TED! and GET UP, ELIZABETH! have found their way, to my great satisfaction, into the hands of Theodore Roosevelt V and the shelves of the British Library Gift Shop respectively. I have just sold the U.S. rights for a historical novel at auction (details to come soon), and I’m represented by the wonderful Heather Jackson of the Heather Jackson Literary Agency. If you are a writer too, I hope our journeys overlap!
