Hi. My name is Shirin Yim Leos, formerly Shirin Yim Bridges, and I am an Ezra Jack Keats Award-winning author of 21 books—now looking forward to the launch of my 22nd; an editor, writing coach and retreat leader; a Publishers Weekly “new author to watch”—and several years later, front cover feature; and founding goose of Goosebottom Books. I have taught writing and publishing at the NSW Writers’ Center in Australia, the AFCC in Singapore, the Writing Salons in San Francisco and Berkeley, for writing conferences across the country and around the world, and for eight universities including Stanford’s Continuing Studies Program. As you will see from these pages, I am eagerly anticipating the February 2027 launch of my historical novel OF WIND AND DUST, whose sale was named a Publishers Weekly Deal of the Week, and I’m represented by the wonderful Heather Jackson of the Heather Jackson Literary Agency. Fun fact: this book revolves around the same family encountered in my book, RUBY’S WISH. And more fun facts: GO TO BED, TED! and GET UP, ELIZABETH! have found their way, to my great satisfaction, into the hands of Theodore Roosevelt V and onto the shelves of the British Library Gift Shop respectively.
